Aleppo - SMART

On Tuesday, residents of the city of Jarabulus, 100 kilometers northeast of Aleppo, Northern Syria, blocked a number of roads to demand the removal of military headquarters from the city, after a car bomb explosion killed and injured a number of civilians a day ago.

Local activists reported that a group of people set fire to tires and blocked roads for about half an hour at the al-Souq Street and roundabout.

The activists confirmed that there was no vandalism in the city. They stated that the residents called on the opposition factions to remove all military headquarters from the city, condemning the deterioration of the security situation.

On Monday, a car bomb exploded near the military police station in the city of Jarabulus, where several similar explosions went off previously, killing three civilians and injuring about ten others.

In September, a motorcycle bomb exploded in the city of Jarabulus, injuring eight civilians. A few days ago, a similar explosion injured five others, and another one killed a woman and injured three children in a market.
