On Tuesday, a hand grenade exploded inside a passenger microbus in the city of Homs, Central Syria, injuring seven civilians.

Syrian government's media outlets said the injured included three women, adding that the grenade belonged to a member of the city's National Defense militia, which is an armed militia loyal to the Syrian government.

Media outlets said that the 14-passenger microbus was passing through the al-Zahraa neighborhood when the explosion occurred.

On May 29, 2017, an explosion that targeted another passenger bus in the al-Zahraa neighborhood killed five civilians and injured six others.
